Daniel A. Matter, DVM, is a Veterinary Intern at MedVet Columbus, where he has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Matter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and neurobiology from the University of Cincinnati. He then attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Although passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Matter has a particular interest in critical care, neurology, and nutrition. His dedication to the field is driven by a lifelong commitment to advocating for animals and making a meaningful impact on their wellbeing. As a veterinarian, he takes pride in being his patients’ voice, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and compassion. He finds profound fulfillment in supporting pet families through complex medical challenges and critical moments, offering guidance, reassurance, and unwavering support when they need it most.
When not treating patients, Dr. Daniel Matter enjoys creating bioactive habitats and terrariums, exploring national parks and hiking, and skiing.
