Stephanie Davenport, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Virginia, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry, and a minor in mathematics from Hendrix College. She then went on to attend the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Davenport is passionate about emergency medicine, critical care, and surgery, with a particular focus on soft tissue and trauma surgeries. She enjoys the challenge of diagnosing her patients’ conditions and developing customized care plans to support their recovery. She finds great fulfillment in helping pet owners understand their pets’ conditions and guiding them through the treatment process. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is seeing critically ill patients recover and witnessing the gratitude from their owners when their pets improve. Dr. Davenport has also contributed to Clinician’s Brief and the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA), reflecting her dedication to ongoing learning and advancing veterinary medicine.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Stephanie Davenport is an avid runner, with a goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon. She also enjoys hiking with her dogs, spending time on her hobby farm, and traveling. On her farm, she cares for cats, dogs, a donkey, horses, and Highlander cows.
