Marjorie (Margie) A. Owen, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVS (Small Animal) is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Salt Lake City. Dr. Owen joined our hospital in 2023 after completing her internship and residency at WestVet Boise.
Dr. Owen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and a Master of Science degree from Washington State University. She completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following this, Dr. Margie Owen completed a surgery internship at WestVet Boise and a dual surgery residency at Washington State University and WestVet Boise.
Dr. Owen enjoys many facets of the veterinary profession. She has special interests in soft tissue surgery, surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery, and reconstruction. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is helping to resolve pet health issues and watching pets recover from surgery so they can go home with their families.
When not helping pets in our hospital, Dr. Margie Owen is an avid gardener with a special love for indoor plants. She also enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and their two beloved dogs.
