Chief Clinical Officer
Joe DeFulio, CVT, serves as MedVet’s Chief Clinical Officer, responsible for leading the Clinical Services team in advancing exceptional care and operational excellence across the organization. This team of highly skilled technicians, assistants, and client service representatives plays a critical role in delivering an outstanding experience for clients, patients, and referral partners.
Since joining MedVet in 2016, Joe has held key leadership roles, including Hospital Director and Vice President of Clinical Services. In his current role, he partners closely with the Chief Medical Officer to foster collaboration across the healthcare team and ensure the highest standards of care and service. Joe is deeply passionate about maximizing technician utilization, empowering veterinary professionals to work at the top of their skill set to enhance caregiver satisfaction, and patient outcomes.
Joe has been part of the veterinary profession since 2007 and is a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT). He has also completed specialized training in compassion fatigue, underscoring his commitment to support team wellbeing.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling, exploring new cities, and spending time with family and friends on the East Coast.
