Chief Information Officer

Jeanne de Vries Sands is Chief Information Officer at MedVet. She joined the organization in September 2025. She is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology, leading the teams responsible for application development, data & analytics, infrastructure, security, and technology service support.

Prior to joining MedVet, Jeanne was the Chief Information Officer at Summit BHC in Franklin, TN, where she led the transformation of the organization’s technology landscape, implementing an EHR across 28 sites of care under budget and enhancing operational efficiency. Her key achievements include reducing missed calls by 10%, increasing patient collections by 15%, and developing real-time dashboards for leadership insights.

Previously, Jeanne served as Vice President of Clinical Consultancy and Regional Chief Information Officer at SSM Health in St. Louis, MO, where she managed a $80M operating budget and a team of 400+ employees, driving a 50% increase in patient portal adoption and securing FCC grants totaling almost $2M. She also held the interim Chief Information Officer role at Presbyterian Healthcare in Albuquerque, NM, leading technology operations and winning a five-year Managed Medicaid proposal. Jeanne’s earlier roles at Advocate Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, WI included Director of Patient Experience and Mobility, Strategic Program Manager, and Enterprise Strategic Business Analyst, where she spearheaded numerous multimillion-dollar initiatives and improved patient and clinician experiences.

Based in Brentwood, TN, Jeanne is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as a board member for the TN Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and New Resources Consulting. She is fluent in Spanish. Along with these professional pursuits, Jeanne loves reading, exercising, and celebrity gossip.

Doctorate in Health Administration from Central Michigan University (anticipated 2025)

Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse (2000)

She is certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association (2017)
