Oncologic Emergencies: What To Do When Cancer Bites Back
Course Description
This non-interactive distance (On Demand) medical program for veterinarians and veterinary technicians will provide an overview of systemic complications seen in the cancer patient, with a specific focus on emergent illness. This program will highlight practical examples for veterinary practitioners to provide strategies to aid in effective initial triage, patient assessment, and appropriate stabilization, while facilitating a final cancer diagnosis. In addition, this course will review common cancer therapeutic complications and how the primary care team can help in patient care and treatment monitoring, with the goal of improving overall quality of life.
