Blood, Sweat, and Tears: Taking the Confusion out of Transfusions
This live interactive medical program for veterinary professionals will review the basics of canine and feline transfusion medicine, including blood types and crossmatching, blood product types and components, proper dosage and administration, plus recognizing and managing transfusion reactions. In addition, this course will cover alternative therapies that can be considered when blood products are not readily available as well as how to appropriately collect and store blood from a donor.
