Clots! Bleeding! Coagulation! Oh my! Thromboembolic Disease and It’s Management in the ER
Course Description
This non-interactive distance (On Demand) medical program for veterinarians and veterinary technicians will review coagulation physiology, with a primary focus on hypercoagulability and thromboembolic disease. This program will highlight common presentations for thromboembolism in the emergent patient, diagnostic tools for the general practitioner, as well as the specialist when available, potential underlying etiologies, plus management strategies. In addition, the course will briefly review disseminated intravascular coagulation and its relationship to thromboembolic disease, as well as underlying causes (specifically neoplasia).
