Victoria L. Smetana, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Dallas and MedVet Frisco, where she joined the team in 2025.
Dr. Victoria Smetana earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Delaware Valley University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Smetana has special interests in emergency medicine and surgery, where she thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments that require critical thinking and quick action. She is especially committed to guiding pet owners through urgent situations with clarity and empathy, while delivering skilled and timely care to improve outcomes for her patients.
Outside of the veterinary profession, Dr. Victoria Smetana enjoys collecting houseplants, horseback riding, playing disc golf, reading, and spending time with her husband, their ball python, their dog, and their two cherished cats.
