Tom Kozlovich, DVM, MS, is a veterinarian who is Limited to the Practice of Surgery at MedVet Akron, where he has been part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Kozlovich earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in biology and chemistry from Xavier University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating medicine & surgery internship at VCA Norwalk and Shoreline. He then went on to complete a surgery residency at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences while also earning a Master of Science degree.
Dr. Kozlovich has a special interest in trauma and emergency/acute care surgery. He is passionate about helping pets through critical situations and providing the surgical expertise needed to give them the best possible outcome. One of the most meaningful aspects of the veterinary profession for Dr. Kozlovich is advocating for patients who cannot speak for themselves. His life experiences have given him a deep understanding of the importance of attentive, compassionate care, which he brings to every patient he cares for.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Tom Kozlovich enjoys hiking, running, and snowboarding.
