Spencer Traynham, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Asheville, where he began caring for patients in 2025.
Dr. Spencer Traynham earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Traynham’s special interests include cardiology, feline medicine, fear-free handling, and soft tissue surgery. He finds great fulfillment in helping pets recover from illness or injury and in strengthening the special bond between pets and their families.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Spencer Traynham enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hiking, and playing basketball.
