Shelby Straight, DVM, cVMA, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Boise, where he joined the team in 2025.
Dr. Shelby Straight earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Straight has special interests in acupuncture, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, and pain management. He is passionate about delivering individualized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs, particularly in fast-paced emergency situations. His integrative approach combines conventional treatments with alternative therapies to support healing and improve quality of life.
Outside of the veterinary profession, Dr. Shelby Straight remains committed to holistic wellbeing and enjoys expanding his knowledge of integrative therapies that support both animal and human health.
