Shannon De Leon, DVM, MS, is a Specialty Intern in Avian & Exotics at MedVet Hilliard, where she began caring for patients in 2025.
Dr. De Leon earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in animal science from The Ohio State University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. De Leon is passionate about caring for birds and exotic companions and is especially interested in advancing medical and surgical care for these unique species. She finds deep fulfillment in building trusting relationships with pet owners and working together to provide personalized, compassionate care that supports the health and wellbeing of animals of all shapes and sizes.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Shannon De Leon enjoys birding, taking nature walks with her dog, and watching movies.
