Samantha Hirshberg, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Pittsburgh, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.

Dr. Hirshberg earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and animal science from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, also graduating magna cum laude.

Dr. Hirshberg’s professional interests include all aspects of emergency medicine, as well as behavior, dentistry, nutrition, ophthalmology, and surgery. Her favorite part of the veterinary profession is working collaboratively with pet owners to determine the best treatment options for their pets during urgent and often stressful situations.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Samantha Hirshberg enjoys reading, playing tennis and pickleball, and spending time outdoors with her dog, including hiking and kayaking. She is an avid terrier enthusiast and participates in dog sports such as agility and barn hunt with her Rat Terrier, Morty.
