Randy Itkin, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVIM (SAIM), is a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist at MedVet Atlanta, where he joined the team in 2025.

Dr. Randy Itkin earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Louisiana State University. Following his internship, Dr. Itkin completed a residency in internal medicine and earned a Master of Science degree at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After his residency, he continued advancing veterinary medicine as a Morris Animal Foundation Research Fellow. Dr. Itkin has extensive experience in Internal Medicine and brings that experience to MedVet Atlanta.

Dr. Itkin’s clinical interests are broad, and he enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine. One of his favorite parts of the veterinary profession is working through complex medical puzzles and finding solutions that help his patients.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Randy Itkin enjoys cooking, traveling, Georgia football, and being a wine enthusiast.
