Rachel C. Cuccia, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville, where she joined the team in 2025.
Dr. Rachel Cuccia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and technology from Louisiana State University. She also completed a Diploma of Higher Education in veterinary sciences from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honors from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Cuccia is passionate about all aspects of emergency medicine and has a special interest in endocrine emergencies, polytrauma, and toxicities. Her favorite part of the veterinary profession is making a meaningful difference in people’s lives by helping their beloved companions in times of urgent need.
Outside of the veterinary profession, Dr. Rachel Cuccia enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, traveling the world, and spending quality time with her fiancé Derick, their two dogs, Miso and Frankie, and their cat, Sergeant.
