Nicolette Ornelas, DVM, Residency Trained in Internal Medicine
Nicolette Ornelas, DVM, Residency Trained in Internal Medicine, is part of the MedVet Cleveland team, where she has been caring for patients since 2025.
Dr. Ornelas earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. She then went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. Additionally, she is Fear Free Certified®.
Dr. Ornelas has special interests in endocrine, gastrointestinal, and hepatic diseases. Her favorite part of the veterinary profession is serving as a voice and advocate for animals, helping them feel their best, and extending the precious time they share with their families.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Nicolette Ornelas enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, dog Hugo, and cat Sally. She also loves reading, singing, and relaxing evenings with her favorite documentaries.
