Mikaela Montoya, DVM, is a Veterinary Intern at WestVet Boise, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Montoya earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University before continuing her studies at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
With a deep passion for emergency medicine, oncology, and surgery, Dr. Montoya is dedicated to enhancing the lives of both pets and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care. She finds great fulfillment in fostering long-term relationships with her patients and their families, helping them navigate their pets’ healthcare journeys.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Mikaela Montoya enjoys staying active through hiking, Pilates, running, and weightlifting. She also enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.
