Mary Ellen Stivers, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Virginia, where she has been a member of our team since 2023.
Dr. Stivers attended Virginia Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Stivers has a special interest in emergency medicine, critical care, and soft tissue surgery. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is acting as a voice for the pets, who cannot speak for themselves, and serving a large variety of patients and types of conditions.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Mary Ellen Stivers enjoys being outdoors hiking, skiing, and participating in water sports. She also likes spending time with her family and two dogs, a German Shephard named Blaze, and a Beagle named Cashew.
