Marlayna Barnard, DVM, MS, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Meridian and has been an integral part of our team since 2025.
Dr. Barnard earned her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Colorado State University, followed by a Master of Science in anatomy and neurobiology from the same institution. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Barnard then completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services of Rochester.
With a keen interest in acupuncture, emergency surgery, immune-mediated diseases, and toxicities, Dr. Barnard finds immense fulfillment in helping her patients recover and reunite with their families.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Marlayna Barnard enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and off-road adventures.
