Marjorie (Margie) A. Owen, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVS (Small Animal) is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Norwalk. While she joined the Norwalk team in 2025, Dr. Owen has been part of the MedVet and WestVet teams since 2019.
Dr. Owen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University. She then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following this, Dr. Owen completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at University of Wisconsin-Madison and a surgical specialty internship at WestVet Boise. She then pursued a dual surgery residency at Washington State University and WestVet Boise, at which time she also earned her Master of Science degree from Washington State University.
Dr. Owen enjoys many facets of the veterinary profession. Following her specialty training, she has developed distinctive interests in soft tissue surgery, surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery, and reconstruction. Her favorite part of being a veterinary surgeon is helping to resolve pet health issues and watching pets recover from surgery so they can go home and resume a happy and healthy life with their families.
When not helping pets in our hospital, Dr. Margie Owen is an avid gardener with a special love for indoor plants. She enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and their beloved dog.
