Marianna Schafer, DVM, Diplomate, ACVR, is a Board-certified Veterinary Radiologist at MedVet Akron.
Dr. Schafer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, Dr. Schafer completed a small animal internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and a radiology residence at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Schafer enjoys being part of a team providing the best medical care to patients with a special interest in abdominal ultrasound. When not working, she can be found horseback riding on her Irish sport horse Gordon aka Good Boy Gordon. She also enjoys time with her husband Steve traveling, going to Guardians games, touring MBL baseball parks and movies. She is a cat person with three orange and white DSH siblings.
