M. Camille Hopkins, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Northern Virginia, where she began caring for patients in 2025.
Dr. M. Camille Hopkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a focus on animal physiology from Cornell University. Prior to beginning veterinary school, she spent a year working as a veterinary assistant, where she found a passion for emergency medicine that continues to this day. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, she completed training at the Animal Emergency Center and the Animal Medical Center. She has practiced emergency medicine in Virginia at various clinics and has training and experience related to disaster response. Dr. Hopkins, a veteran of the US Army Veterinary Corps, has cared for military working dogs in the US and overseas.
Dr. Hopkins has a special interest in Emergency Medicine and enjoys the process of uncovering the cause behind a pet’s illness. She is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care that helps pets feel better and supports the families who love them.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. M. Camille Hopkins finds joy spending time with family, gardening, and soaking in quiet time outdoors.
