Veterinary Surgery Resident
Lydia Chang, DVM, is a Veterinary Surgery Resident at MedVet Cincinnati, where she began caring for patients in 2025.
Dr. Lydia Chang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in Spanish from Purdue University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, Dr. Chang completed a Rotating Medicine & Surgery Internship at Angell West, and a Surgical Internship at Washington State University.
Dr. Chang has special interests in 3-D reconstruction and angular deformity correction, minimally invasive abdominal and thoracic surgeries, arthroscopic treatment of joint conditions, and advanced wound reconstruction. She is passionate about using surgical techniques to restore both function and quality of life for her patients. She finds it incredibly rewarding to solve complex problems through hands-on care and appreciates the immediate, meaningful outcomes surgery can provide. Dr. Chang also values the collaborative nature of veterinary medicine and the trust she builds with families during important moments in their pets’ lives.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Lydia Chang enjoys long-distance running, painting, and photography. She is also an aspiring beekeeper and finds joy in creative expression and staying active outdoors.
