Jessica Sands, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care. She joined the MedVet Chicago team in 2023.
Dr. Sands earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota. She then finished a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Sands completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Tufts University and a small animal emergency & critical care residency at Cornell University.
Dr. Sands is fascinated by many areas of veterinary medicine. She has special interests in treating sepsis and trauma. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is seeing pets reunited with their families after spending time in the hospital.
Outside of our hospital, Dr. Jessica Sands is an avid reader who enjoys hiking and running with her beloved dog.
