Jacob Tupper, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Silicon Valley, where he has been part of the team since 2025.

Dr. Jacob Tupper earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and animal ecology from Iowa State University. He then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists and a second internship in Anesthesia & Pain Management at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Tupper’s clinical interests include Anesthesia & Pain Management, behavior, Critical Care, and ventilation. He finds deep fulfillment in reducing suffering and helping pets feel safe and calm during moments of crisis—an impact that often extends to their pet families as well.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Jacob Tupper enjoys hands-on creative outlets like baking and cooking, as well as reading fiction, hiking, playing video games, and traveling. These hobbies help him recharge and stay grounded in a demanding profession.
