Anna A. Reuter, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology), is a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist at MedVet Chicago, where she has been a part of the team since 2025.
Dr. Reuter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas A&M University before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to complete a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania and an internship in emergency medicine at North Carolina State University. Dr. Reuter then completed a residency in cardiology at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also earned a Master of Science degree.
Her special interests include cardiac emergencies, interventional management of congenital cardiac disease, and novel surgical therapies for heart disease. Dr. Reuter has published research on idiopathic juvenile ventricular arrhythmias in dogs and has additional manuscripts accepted or pending with the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Journal of Veterinary Cardiology.
Dr. Reuter’s favorite part of the veterinary profession is making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of animals while building strong connections with patients and their families. She is also passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Anna Reuter enjoys photography, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their three pets—two dogs and one cat.
