Amelia McMahon, DVM, is a veterinary intern at MedVet Chicago, where she has been contributing since 2024.
Dr. McMahon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. McMahon’s passion for veterinary medicine spans all its facets, with special interests in various aspects of emergency medicine, such as endocrine emergencies and trauma, as well as shelter medicine. She particularly enjoys problem-solving for diverse medical conditions and enhancing the overall quality of life for both pets and their families.
Beyond her dedication to patient care, Dr. Amelia McMahon enjoys fitness classes, traveling, making French pastries, and spending time with her two parrots.
