Director, Clinical Services Education
Danielle (Dani) DeCormier, LVT, VTS (Oncology), has served as the Director, Clinical Services Education for MedVet since February 2022. In this role, she is responsible for the Clinical Education Specialist team plus the strategic planning and development of technicians and assistants across the organization through education and training.
Dani is a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) and earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology from Wayne County Community College. She obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Oncology from the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians in 2018. She is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) with the International Association of Trauma Professionals, and a Compassion Fatigue Educator (CFE). In addition, Dani is Fear Free Certified®, and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certified.
Prior to working at MedVet, Dani worked in veterinary medicine for more than 20 years, including as an adjunct instructor for the veterinary technician program at Wayne State University. In addition to speaking at conferences internationally, Dani served as the Director-at-Large (Oncology) for the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians for six years and as the President for the Michigan Association of Veterinary Technicians.
When not at work, Dani enjoys spending time by the ocean, traveling, attending concerts, and exploring books and movies. She also values time at home with her cats and dog.
