Lynn Maki, DVM, Diplomate, ACVS (Small Animal), is a Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon at MedVet Phoenix.
Dr. Lynn Maki earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physiology from Northern Michigan University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She then pursued a second internship in advanced emergency, critical care, and surgery at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, where she also completed her surgery residency.
Dr. Maki has a special interest in emergency and soft tissue trauma surgery. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help pets through critical moments and see them return home to the people who love them. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is making a meaningful difference—whether it’s restoring mobility, relieving pain, or supporting healing with skill and compassion.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Lynn Maki enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her Golden Retrievers. These moments help her stay grounded and energized to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.
