Dennis Sproul

Vice President, IT Applications Support

Dennis Sproul, MBA, serves as the Vice President, Information Technology (IT) Applications Support for MedVet, a position he’s held since April 2025. In this role, he leads the IT Help Desk team and the Medical Software Support team.  Dennis and his team are responsible for the smooth operation of software applications at MedVet. He works regularly with his IT partners on the Infrastructure team, the Software and Data Engineering team, and the Project Management team.  Additionally, he collaborates with the Clinical and Medical Leadership teams as well as other Support Service teams. Dennis was previously the Director, Medical Software Support (MSS) at MedVet for 18 months.

Dennis has experience in strategy and business management, project portfolio management, application support and implementation consulting in various positions in the retail, utilities, and communication industries. Prior to joining MedVet in November 2023, he was the Director of IT and Project Management Office (PMO) for Trinity Health for nearly four years leading a talented group of application support and project management personnel. The team supported a Medicare Advantage plan called MediGold, under the direction of Mt. Carmel Health. Dennis also worked at Ascena Retail Goup, Inc. for more than five years as a Director of IT Strategy Delivery, Director of IT PMO, Senior Manager of IT Programs, and Enterprise Project Manager. In these roles, he provided management and mentoring of project managers plus led two main functions – project portfolio execution and IT business management. His earlier experience included positions at HMB for more than 14 years, the Columbus Dispatch, Fifth Third Bank, and Nationwide Insurance.

Dennis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at Bowling Green State University. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Dayton. In addition, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

When not at work, Dennis enjoys road trips and family events with his wife and three children, plus their two dogs – a Beagle (Scout) and Chocolate Labrador (Hershey). He also likes to go hiking, golfing, and spend time with old friends.
