Raphael A. Malbrue, DVM, MS, CertAqV, Diplomate, American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, is an emergency medicine veterinarian at MedVet Northern Virginia, where he has been a valued member of the team since 2025.
Dr. Malbrue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal, poultry, and veterinary sciences from Tuskegee University. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Furthering his education, he pursued a Master of Science in biomedical and veterinary medical sciences at Louisiana State University, where he also completed a residency in laboratory animal medicine.
With a deep passion for emergency medicine, Dr. Malbrue has specialized interests in treating aquatic species and exotic companion mammals. His career has been marked by a commitment to advancing veterinary research, with multiple published studies to his name.
