Bridget O’Neil, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care. She has been a part of the WestVet Boise team since 2022.
Dr. O’Neil attended the University of Saint Mary where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry with minors in Math and Theology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her veterinary degree, Dr. O’Neil completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, and a critical care residency at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Bridget O’Neil has a special interest in electrolyte imbalances and transfusion medicine. In addition, she has contributed to a veterinary publication on the topic of anesthetic hypothermia. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is interacting with and helping beloved pets and their owners.
When not at the hospital, she enjoys hiking with her dog, going to the movies, working puzzles, traveling, and exploring new places.
