Amber Wallace, DVM, Diplomate, ACVAA, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville, where she’s been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Wallace earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-veterinary Biology from the University of New Orleans. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Wallace completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at MedVet New Orleans and a residency in Anesthesia & Analgesia at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
During her training, Dr. Wallace developed a special interest in the areas of feline anesthesia and analgesia, as well as anesthesia for interventional radiology. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is easing the stress and fear of both patients and their families. She also enjoys watching patients as they improve and progress during their time at the hospital.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Amber Wallace enjoys live music (especially EDM, Folk, and Indie music), running, exercising, cooking new things, and spending quality time with her partner, family, and pets.
