Alexa Weiland, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian who has been part of the MedVet Cleveland West team since 2020. Dr. Weiland attended Miami University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and minored in Neuroscience. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Weiland earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
In addition to her clinical endeavors, Dr. Alexa Weiland is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association. Although interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Weiland is particularly interested in internal medicine and critical care. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is the opportunity to learn in a continuously evolving field and making a difference in the lives of her patients and their families.
When not caring for pets, Dr. Alexa Weiland enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, and watching Cleveland sports.
