Veterinary Oncologic Ophthalmology: Tumor recognition, Treatment Strategies, and the Role of Electrochemotherapy

This live interactive medical program for veterinary professionals will review the most common neoplastic conditions affecting the eyes and surrounding tissues in dogs and cats, with a focus on practical medical oncology principles and the emerging application of electrochemotherapy (ECT) for local tumor control.

Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize and initiate care for ocular and periocular tumors.
  2. Management depends on tumor type, location, and systemic involvement. Surgery remains the mainstay, often supported by adjunctive therapies.
  3. Electrochemotherapy offers a safe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment option for selected periocular and ocular tumors, improving local control while preserving quality of life.
