Sara Wells, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Pittsburgh where she has been a part of the medical team since 2016.
Dr. Wells attended Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Biology. She then attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine followed by The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she completed her clinical rotations. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Wells completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center. She worked as a general practitioner in the Pittsburgh area for a year before electing to return to emergency medicine.
Dr. Sara Wells maintains an interest in all aspects of emergency medicine and critical care. She has a particular interest in cardiology and exotic animal/avian medicine. When not treating patients, Dr. Wells enjoys reading old Agatha Christie books, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with her husband and their large family of rescue animals.
