Jonathan Congdon, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVAA, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia and Medical Director at MedVet Salt Lake City and MedVet Urgent Care in Sandy, where he has been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Congdon attended the University of Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pathobiology. He then attended Colorado State University, earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and two Master of Science degrees in Anatomy and Clinical Sciences. Concurrently with his Master of Science degrees, Dr. Congdon completed an anesthesia & analgesia residency at Colorado State University.
Dr. Jonathan Congdon has co-authored publications on compartment and sacral plexus blocks via electrostimulation for pelvic limb amputation in dogs; cardiovascular, respiratory, electrolyte, and acid-base balance during continuous dexmedetomidine infusion in anesthetized dogs; and evaluation of sedative and cardiovascular effects of intramuscular administration of dexmedetomidine with and without concurrent atropine administration. He is especially interested in anesthesiology, pain management, physiology, pharmacology, leadership, and administration.
In his free time, Dr. Jonathan Congdon is an avid mountain biker. He enjoys trail running, touring new roads, and exploring local businesses
